Safety

We know laser treatment is a pretty big deal, so we’d made sure we have only the best surgeons working for us. All of our surgeons have been trained in corneal and refractive surgery at recognised international centres in the USA and UK. Each surgeon is also committed to the ongoing research into laser vision correction.

Precision

Together with our highly trained surgeons, we also offer precision equipment. Our centre is equipped with the latest diagnostics and treatment technologies. This equipment gives us the greatest possible precision during your treatment.

The Technology

We could rattle off a bunch of wizz bang names and numbers to impress you, but we’ll only give you one, the ‘Bausch & Lomb Technolas 217z100’. It’s what we use at the Lions Laser Vision Centre, and we use it because it’s the world's most advanced excimer laser system and allows us to perform customised, rapid, and highly accurate treatments.

The Accreditation

We don’t like to big note ourselves, but you should know more about us. Lions Laser Vision Centre is the premier refractive surgery centre in Western Australia. We’re the centre where the first LASIK procedure in Western Australia was performed. We were also the first refractive centre in Western Australia to become accredited by Australian Council on Healthcare Standards. (ISO 9001:2000).

The Results

We can’t list the results of every one of our customers, but there have been more than 100,000 procedures performed worldwide with the Bausch and Lomb Zyoptix system. In the U.S. a clinical trial* showed that 6 months after surgery, the majority of patients treated with the Zyoptix system achieved or reported the following:

  • Extreme improvement in vision quality
  • Vision better than 20/20 without glasses
  • Vision without glasses better than, with glasses before surgery
  • No increase in unwanted glare, halos or night driving difficulty
  • High satisfaction with their results
