What is Eye Laser Surgery?
LASIK is the most common form of refractive laser eye surgery - that is surgery performed to correct refractive errors to reduce dependence on glasses and contact lenses.
LASIK stands for laser in-situ keratomileusis and is a technique of laser refractive surgery that uses the Intralase to create a partial thickness flap in the cornea to cut a partial-thickness flap in the cornea and then an excimer laser to reshape the surface beneath the flap. LASIK can be used to correct myopia, hyperopia, and astigmatism.
Fast recovery time
You should be able to see better in 1-2 hours after the treatment, but the most dramatic improvement will be noticed the morning following surgery. Most people return to their normal routine on the day after the treatment, but usually return to work after another day especially if you do a lot of computer work.
